Little Monsters is a Romanian/Spanish/French/American/British animated children's-comedy television that ran from 1975–1978 on TVR1/TVE1/TF1/American Broadcasting Company/BBC1 Wales & BBC2 Wales, being co–produced by [LR 2234], [MPV 3214 (as 239V),] a Pickwick International Ltd and [BBCV 4653 (as BBCV 4030)] a Muitiple Sound Distibation Ltd (a joint venture between Mr Men and Little Miss, Asterix, The Smurfs and Walt Disney). The show was based on the books of the same name by Tony Garth, focusing on a different central mischievous and eccentric child.

Plot Edit

First broadcast in 1975, the 30 minute episodes of Little Monsters were put together, by the combined forces of TVR/TF1/TVE/ABC/BBC Wales's presenters. Little Monsters was also translated into TVE in Spain, known as: Na Bleigeardan. In France, it was broadcast by TF1, under the title: Petites Crapules and in Romania on TVR as: Kleine Monsters

In 2015, the programme was also broadcast in, South Africa, Israel, the Middle East, Singapore, China, South Korea, Japan, and Latin Europe. The rights to the series are still owned, and controlled by Russell Neale Dever, in collaboration with Ian Harding. The distribution by Southern Star Sales (1998-1999) and rights are controlled by Foothill Entertainment, Santa Barbara, United States.

Little Monsters was broadcast on BBC1 Wales from 1975 - 1977 and BBC2 from 1977-1978, CBBC have also repeated the series beginning on 1985 at 8.25am, 11.25am, 2.25pm and 5.25pm until November 1991, It returned on 1998 at 8.30am, 11.30am, 2.30pm and 5.30pm until 2nd September 2002 and was broadcast again on March 1st 2003 as a double bill from 11.46am and 3.00pm and concluding the run on December 31st 2006.
